Benazir Bhutto International Airport 70 percent complete: Ahmad

Islamabad: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad told the senate on Friday that physical construction of Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) is in its advance stages, Radio Pakistan reported.

In reply to a question, Minister told the house that the capital for the project is 36.57 billion rupees. An area of approximately 5000 acres will be used by the airport.

He added that 3289 acres land has already been acquired while 1721 acres land will soon be acquires for airport services.

However, the opposition members walked out from the house terming the reply as ‘unsatisfactory’.
