Minister of IT Anusha Rahman met VimpleCom chief Jo lunder, the parent company of Mobilink Pakistan, at the mobile world conference in Barcelona on Feb 26, Reported PID.
At the meeting, VimpleCom chief Jo Lunder lauded Pakistan for its serious efforts towards the establishment of 3g and 4g technology in the country. He further pointed out that mobile operators need to take in consideration the over the top (OTT) innovations around the world.
Rahman on the other hand highlighted that 98% Population of the country still needs to be connected with the broadband technology that is being introduced in april. She also included the auction of 1800 mhz band spectrum for spread of 4g services in the country.
