India gets 40 upgraded AN-32 aircrafts

Amid crisis in Ukraine, work in war factories is in full swing. That is why; Ukraine has delivered, as promised in 2009, the seventh batch of 40 AN-32 aircrafts to be upgraded in Ukraine war factory to India, said a Ukroboronprom press release.


According to Director General of Ukroboronprom, the shipment was delivered to Kanpur India on 29th march. He further states that both sides are happy about the up gradation process of the aircrafts.

The an-32 up gradation contract is of $400 million. As per the contract, Ukrainian war factory will repair; modernize 105 AN-32 aircrafts. Moreover, it will upgrade the aircrafts by adding collision warning system, satellite navigation system, plane finding system, new radar, multi-functional indicators, oxygen equipment, improvised crew seats and an altimeter.


Around 40 vehicles have been delivered to India in this shipment.


Moreover, India has also signed a contract worth $110 million with Ukraine for the up gradation of engines of AI-20 Indian aircrafts.
