Why I am in favor of Imran Khan this time

This is to all those who think Imran Khan made a foolish decision yesterday by calling for a massive civil disobedience movement. I believe they are wrong.

Here is a list of points that base my favor on IK this time. Though I tend to remain unbiased.

Civil disobedience is not called for the first time - face it

We all know that Mujib ur Rehman called for a civil disobedience movement when he wanted independence from Pakistan. Well most call him a traitor but lets see who calls Benazir Bhutto a traitor. She also organized civil disobedience movements when she wanted President Zia to relinquish office.

So whats wrong if Imran Khan called for civil disobedience. What we should ponder over is that one faction of the Pakistani vote bank is not in favor of Nawaz Sharif and that should be a concern right now instead of making fun or poking fingers at each other.

And for those who do not know civil disobedience – for God’s sake open it on Wikipedia and take a look.

Has Ishaq Dar ever asked Altaf Hussain how much damage he has done to the economy.

No offence to MQM they are my brothers. But the point is simple. Ishaq Dar yesterday said that around 4 crore have been lost by the economy in last 4 days due to long marches. Has he ever asked Altaf Hussain the same when he calls for strikes across Sindh and mainly in Karachi – the business hub of Pakistan?

Islamabad stop being a jerk Karachi has to face this closure every 3 months

There were many articles this noon that people have done shit on the streets and citizens of the capital are facing so much problems due to the closure of the main market.

Dude! Have they ever wondered what we the Karachites face when Karachi is closed due to strikes called by some leaders.

The irony of this nation is that we always poke fingers on the government. I even remember people doing that when Musharraf was in power. They used to say ‘Dictatorship ki waja se yeh ho rha hai wo ho rha hai’. They are still doing the same. Now when someone tries to oppose the people in power the media starts making fun of those people and the masses join in.

I think saying ‘shame’ is not enough for such a nation.

The only reason I am in favor of this person is that we have not tried him yet. We read the mandate of Nawaz, Zardari and Imran. We tried the former but we have not tried this man.

Note: Only 0.57 percent Pakistanis pay tax. The elite class doesn’t. Imran Khan called that 0.57 percent to oppose taxes.

Do we even know what happens with our tax?

No we don’t. And we never will.
