Karachi: Finance minister Ishaq Dar said today that inflation remains at 8.6 per cent while GDP grew by 4.4 percent in the last eight months in a press conference in Islamabad.
While shedding light on the government's performance and the economical progress of the country the minister said that the government has witnessed increase in productivity and inflation has also decreased.
He also notified that the tax collection has swelled by 17 percent and the government has so far collected 1348 billion rupees in tax in the last eight months.
The tax collected in the last year was 1145 billion rupees.
