Indian BJP vows to revamp ‘no first use’ nuke policy

In a puzzling scenario, It has been revealed that Bhartiya janta party BJP might change Indian nuclear strategy of ‘no first use’ to bring it at par with the ‘current times’, stated BJP manifesto and reuters.

It should be noted that BJP states that neighbor Pakistan has also not signed the ‘no first use’  nuke agreement.

According to BJP manifesto, the party says that the nuclear doctrine of India and its policies are ill shaped due to the foreign influence and pressure by the bigger forces.

The party states that it wants to bring the country’s nuclear program in equivalence with the current times to better suit the needs of military and civilians of the country by enhancing thorium technology program, amending congress policy on nuclear doctrine and minimum deterrence in accord with geostatic realities.

However, in contrast, Indian National Congress INCs manifesto states to improve the Indian weaponry by importing ‘state of the art’ weaponry and to enhance technological development and recruitment of additional personnel.
